Якутская кинокомедия «Кандидат» не получила прокатное удостоверение от Минкульта из-за мужчины в парике — ведомство усмотрело в нем ЛГБТ-пропаганду. Также Роскомнадзор потребовал убрать картину «Айта» — самый кассовый фильм Якутии — из всех российских видеосервисов. Чиновники увидели в кино пропаганду национализма.
«Завтра надо запрещать и «Джентльмены удачи» или «Здравствуйте, я ваша тетя»» — так глава Якутии высказался против запрета фильмов «Айта» и «Кандидат».
Во время «Прямой линии» глава республики Айсен Николаев заявил, что якутские режиссёры сделали шаг на российский рынок (раньше они снимали картины для внутреннего потребления) и поняли, что могут быть востребованы — кинематографистов начали боятся и ограничивать поле деятельности, в том числе через надзорные действия:
— Законы можно трактовать по разному, подходы. Но если запрещать фильм «Кандидат», то завтра надо запрещать и «Джентльмены удачи» или «Здравствуйте, я ваша тетя». Просто из-за того, что мужчина переоделся в женскую одежду. Было бы очень смешно, если бы не так грустно.
Николаев добавил, что лично знаком лично с режиссерами запрещенных картин Степаном Бурнашевым («Айта») и Дмитрием Шадриным («Кандидат») — они патриоты и не могли снимать фильмы про нетрадиционные ценности и национализм. Во время телефонного разговора он попросил их не переживать — они снимут новые картины:
— Просто здесь надо быть в некоторой степени более сосредоточенными, понимать, где могут подловить, на каких ошибках, и сделать все, чтобы их не совершать.
Бурнашев в разговоре с «Осторожно Media2» сообщил, что действительно разговаривал с главой и он выразил ему свою поддержку.
