Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp (SMIC), считающаяся крупнейшим контрактным производителем полупроводников в Китае, уже претендует на роль одного из лидеров и глобального рынка по объёмам продаж. Впервые она вошла в первую тройку поставщиков — в основном благодаря высокому спросу на её продукцию в Китае, страдающем от инспирированных США санкций.
Шанхайская SMIC добавлена в торговый чёрный список США ещё в 2020 году, но теперь на её долю приходится 6 % выручки от мирового контрактного производства полупроводников — об этом сообщают эксперты Counterpoint Research. Впереди неё — только безусловный лидер TSMC с 62 % и Samsung Electronics с 13 %. Ожидается, что продажи SMIC в текущем квартале будут расти двухзначными темпами на фоне роста спроса на китайском рынке.
По некоторым данным, стратегический поворот компании к обслуживанию преимущественно китайских клиентов помог снизить значимость технических санкций США и справиться с обычным для рынка полупроводников замедлением в первом квартале. 82 % из $1,75 млрд выручки в первом квартале пришлось на бизнес с клиентами с материкового Китая, годом ранее этот показатель составлял 75,5 % и 80 % в последнем квартале 2023 года.
Так, разборка новейшего 5G-флагмана Huawei Mate 60 Pro в сентябре прошлого года показала, что выпуском чипсета для него занималась именно SMIC, из-за чего в Вашингтоне топнули ножкой и потребовали расследовать — как такой чип смогли выпустить в Китае несмотря на американские ограничения.
Как SMIC, так и Huawei предпочитают не распространяться о новейшем чипсете Kirin 9000, который в китайских социальных сетях стал едва ли не символом сопротивления американским санкциям.
Согласно последнему докладу Counterpoint Research, в целом выручка полупроводникового сектора в первые три месяца года квартал к кварталу упала на 5 % из-за медленного восстановления спроса в сегментах, не связанных с ИИ-чипами — речь идёт о слабом спросе на модели для смартфонов, устройств интернета вещей, автомобильных и промышленных чипах. Ожидается, что спрос на ИИ-чипы в этом году останется высоким и даже увеличится в 2025 году, а спрос на прочие полупроводники пока остаётся относительно слабым.
Что касается возможного лишения SMIC доступа к обслуживанию голландским производителем оборудования для выпуска полупроводников — ASML, в Counterpoint считают, что, хотя такой сценарий пока чисто гипотетический, негативный эффект для китайского вендора может оказаться весьма значимым. Продолжительность и сила будут в значительной степени зависеть от доступных запасов комплектующих. Если их много, негативное воздействие может быть в значительной мере компенсировано, но если запчастей мало, речь может идти даже о перебоях в работе оборудования.
