Правительство Перу в субботу раскритиковало обыск в доме своего президента Дины Болуарте в рамках расследования возможного незаконного обогащения и отказа заявить о владении роскошными часами, назвав его “непропорциональным и неконституционным”.
Поводом для расследования послужило расследование перуанского новостного агентства La Encerrona о часах Болуарте. Просмотрев тысячи фотографий президента, La Encerrona установила, что Болуарте владеет по меньшей мере 14 роскошными часами. Перуанские СМИ с тех пор окрестили этот инцидент “делом о Rolex”.
Как показали телевизионные кадры, рано утром в субботу полиция взломала дверь резиденции Болуарте, очевидно, после того, как призывы чиновников разрешить им доступ для поиска улик остались без ответа, отмечает Reuters.
Дом Болуарте расположен в лимском районе Суркильо, в нескольких километрах от дворца правительства.
По словам министра юстиции Эдуардо Араны, около 20 сотрудников прокуратуры и 20 полицейских сначала провели обыск в доме Болуарте, а затем вошли во дворец в субботу утром. Сама президент Болуарте никак не прокомментировала этот рейд.

Адрианзен сказал, что президент находится в своей резиденции во дворце правительства и что она сделает заявления в прокуратуру, когда ее вызовут. Он также сообщил радиостанции RPP, что министры или Болуарте “ни за что” не планируют уходить в отставку.
Две недели назад прокуратура начала предварительное расследование после того, как местное новостное издание La Encerrona сообщило, что у президента было несколько часов Rolex.
Целью расследования было установить, есть ли основания для официального расследования.
Дина Болуарте, вступившая в должность в декабре 2022 года, признала, что у нее есть часы Rolex, но сказала, что купила их на деньги, которые зарабатывала с детства.
Ранее в этом месяце она заявила, что вошла в офис президента с чистыми руками и уйдет оттуда таким же образом.
“Я пришла в президентский дворец с чистыми руками и уйду с чистыми руками, как и обещала перуанскому народу”, — сказала она.
Офис Болуарте заявил в заявлении рано утром в субботу, что обыски были завершены “без инцидентов”. Ее адвокат Матео Кастанеда заявил перуанской телекомпании RPP, что присутствие полиции было чрезмерным и имело целью “устроить шоу”. Расследование в отношении Болуарте является последним в долгой истории расследований в отношении перуанских президентов и высокопоставленных чиновников.
Болуарте сменила на президентском посту Педро Кастильо, бывшего учителя и профсоюзного лидера из сельской местности Перу, в декабре 2022 года. Кастильо подвергся импичменту и был отстранен от должности после попытки распустить Конгресс и ввести чрезвычайное правительство – тактика, которую законодатели расценили как попытку государственного переворота.
