В наше время интернет стал неотъемлемой частью жизни большинства людей. Мы используем его для общения, образования, работы, развлечений и многого другого. Но что делать, когда связь обрывается в самый критический момент? Как помочь людям, пострадавшим от стихийных бедствий или техногенных катастроф? Как обеспечить надежную и оперативную передачу данных, необходимую для спасения жизней?
Исследователи из Университета открытого образования (UOC), Телекоммуникационного технологического центра Каталонии (CTTC/CERCA) и Университета Люксембурга предложили своё технологическое решение этой проблемы. В своей работе они предлагают развертывать сеть связи в труднодоступных районах с помощью наноспутников.
Система, разработанная исследователями, состоит из трех компонентов: наноспутника, пилотной телекоммуникационной станции. Пилотная станция развертывается в месте, где произошел инцидент, и подключается к наноспутнику, который действует как ретранслятор. Базовая станция находится в безопасном месте и также подключается к наноспутнику. Таким образом, создается обширная зона связи, которая позволяет пользователям сети обмениваться информацией беспроводным способом. Все три компонента оснащены радиотехнологией дальнего радиуса действия (LoRa), которая обладает высокой проникающей способностью и низким энергопотреблением.
Предложенная модель спутника-ретранслятора получила название CubeSat, и имеет вес около 523 г, корпус печатается на 3Д принтере. «Мозгами» конструкции будет выступать классическая всеми любимая Arduino Nano, передача данных будет осуществляться с помощью дипольной антенны. Две аккумуляторные батареи вкупе с 8 солнечными панельками делают систему полностью автономной. Выводить на рабочую высоту спутник будут с помощью аэростата. Наше решение позволяет обеспечить связь на большие расстояния, а также предоставляет масштабную систему для большого количества пользователей, которая может быть использована многократно в любом месте и в любое время. Мы выбрали наноспутники для связи в сложных условиях из-за их скорости развертывания и функционала. Они работают независимо от существующих систем связи, которые могут быть повреждены во время катастрофы, и позволяют обеспечить дальнобойную бесперебойную связь
Система была протестирована в лабораторных условиях на дистанции между станциями в 28км, и показала хорошие результаты. В будущем исследователи планируют провести испытания в различных видах неблагоприятной среды, повысить надежность компонентов, а так же увеличить функциональность «начинки» путем добавления различных датчиков окружающей среды и модернизации антенны.
Связь в экстремальных условиях — это не только техническая проблема, но и гуманитарная. От того, насколько быстро и качественно можно организовать связь в зоне бедствия, зависит спасение многих жизней. Наноспутники могут стать эффективным и доступным инструментом для этой цели, если их разработка и внедрение будут продолжаться. Это один из примеров того, как наука и технологии могут служить благу человечества.
