Британская компания Canonical, выпустившая в свое время ОС Ubuntu, базирующуюся на Linux, выпустила
новый дистрибутив — Linux Wubuntu, уникальную в своем роде.
Интерфейс новой ОС практически
неотличим от интерфейса Windows 11, которую сейчас
настойчиво проталкивает компания Билла Гейтса и которая отличается «завидным»
аппетитом к ресурсам ПК.
Кроме того под управлением Linux Wubuntu без затруднений запускаются и работают приложения изначально
разработанные под Windows.
И на конец третьим существенным
фактом являются скромные требования Wubuntu к ресурсам ПК. Она устанавливается и работает на сборках с двухъядерными
процессорами с тактовой частотой 2 ГГц, парой ГБ операционной памяти и 25 ГБ
свободного места на жестком диске. Четыре ГБ ОЗУ и SSD лишь улучшат работу новой ОС, а наличие
TRM (модуль
безопасности) даже не потребуется.
Данная ОС ориентирована на тех, кто
давно хотел отказаться от рамок Windows, но в силу
привычки к внешнему виду хорошо знакомого интерфейса, набора команд, обоев,
файлового менеджера
Дистрибутив новой ОС доступен для
скачивания и занимает всего 5,1 ГБ и для установки потребуется лишь флешка, без
какой-либо модернизации ПК.
Для тех, кто привык к Windows 10 компания также сделала подарок — ОС Wubuntu Cinnamon, которая
буквально повторяет оболочку «десятки», и требует всего лишь 1 ГБ операционной
памяти и одноядерный процессор с частотой 2 ГГц и те же 25 ГБ на HDD или SSD.
За ОС в любом из двух вариантов с
функцией автоматического обновления и активированную техническую поддержку
придется заплатить всего 35 долларов США, но на фоне более чем скромных
требований к ресурсам ПК и отсутствия стресса при переходе с Windows на Linux, сумма не выглядит неподъемной.
