Исследователи из Японии заявили, что разработали систему искусственного интеллекта, которая может понимать эмоциональное состояние кур по их кудахтанью.
Исследование, которым руководил профессор Токийского университета Адриан Дэвид Чок, еще не прошло экспертную оценку. Система искусственного интеллекта основана на методе, который исследователи назвали «Обучение глубокому эмоциональному анализу», который может адаптироваться к изменяющимся речевым паттернам.
Исследование показало, что система способна переводить «различные эмоциональные состояния кур, включая голод, страх, гнев, удовлетворенность, возбуждение и дистресс».

Исследователи протестировали систему на 80 курицах для проведения исследования и сотрудничали с командой зоопсихологов и ветеринаров. Исследование показало, что система смогла достичь удивительно высокой точности в определении эмоционального состояния птиц.

Исследователи признали потенциальные ограничения, включая различия в породах и сложность некоторых коммуникаций, таких как язык тела. Ученые и исследователи также используют инструменты искусственного интеллекта для природоохранных мероприятий. В одном случае были внедрены инструменты искусственного интеллекта, помогающие идентифицировать следы и лучше понимать популяции животных.
В 2022 году исследователи во главе с Университетом Копенгагена, ETH Zurich и Национальным исследовательским институтом сельского хозяйства, продовольствия и окружающей среды Франции заявили, что они создали алгоритм, который поможет понять эмоции свиней.
