В
архитектуре есть элементы, которые не только функциональны, но и придают
жилым зданиям особый «шарм и характер». Мансарды и мезонины — как раз и есть одни из тех
функциональных пространств под крышей, помогающие зданиям выделяться из общей «серой
стандартной массы» своих собратьев.
Мансарда,
получившая свое название в честь архитектора Франсуа
Мансара, представляет собой гениальное решение для эффективного использования пространства на чердаке. Именно Мансар придумал конструкцию крыши с небольшими встроенными окнами, которая была такой высоты, чтобы помещение под ней могло использоваться
в качестве жилья и имела форму усеченной пирамиды. Это решение позволило
создать дополнительную жилую площадь на чердаке здания, превратив ранее
неиспользуемое пространство в практически полноценное жилье.
Идея обустройства
мансарды на чердаке быстро стала популярной в Париже. Владельцы недвижимости,
поняв потенциал этого архитектурного решения, начали активно «переоборудовать» чердаки
домов в жилые помещения. Особую привлекательность мансард для владельцев домов
придавал еще и тот факт, что они не облагались налогом и это делало мансарды
идеальным вариантом для сдачи перестроенных чердаков в аренду в качестве жилых
помещений. Так, под парижскими крышами образовались целые кварталы небольших
комнат, ставших жильем для студентов, художников, артистов и другой «публики» с
ограниченным бюджетом.
Характерной
особенностью мансарды является то, что её фасад есть ничто иное, как наклонная
поверхность самой крыши. И в этот крыше-фасад встроены окна. Именно такая
конструктивная особенность создает ту необычную и оригинальную «атмосферу»
мансардных комнат. В наше время мансарды часто можно встретить на дачных и
садовых домиках. Здесь они не только увеличивают полезную площадь, но и придают
строению оригинальный вид и стиль.
Мансарды,
которые еще век назад считались жильем для бедных, сегодня нередко
воспринимаются как элитное жилье. Их уникальный дизайн, обилие естественного
света и романтический «флер» привлекают тех, кто ищет нестандартные решения в
оформлении своего жилого пространства.
В то время
как мансарда представляет собой целый этаж под скатной крышей, мезонин имеет
иную конструкцию. Этот архитектурный термин произошел от итальянского «mezzano»,
что в переводе означает «средний». Вот и получается, что мезонин — это
надстройка-комната, которая располагается только лишь над «средней» частью
дома. Он обычно имел три окна и декоративный фронтон. У мезонина своя собственная
крыша, которая никак не связана с крышей над левой и правой частями дома. Это и
отличает его от мансарды, которая полностью «интегрирована» в основную крышу
здания.
В истории
русской архитектуры мезонин занимает особое место. Его предшественником считается
небольшая комнатка, а-ля светелка, которая располагалась в верхней части дома. Со
временем такая комнатка постепенно «эволюционировала» в мезонин, который и стал
характерным элементом русской архитектуры XIX века, особенно в домах дворянства
в небольших провинциальных городках. Классический мезонин со своим «торжественным»
фронтоном, постепенно стал неотъемлемым «украшением» городских домов и сельских
усадеб, придавая им, как считалось в то время, величественный и элегантный вид. А вот наши дни дома с мезонином не пользуются такой «популярностью», как два века назад, но их еще довольно часто можно встретить в небольших городах и поселках.
Таким
образом, мансарды и мезонины, несмотря на некоторые сходства, представляют
собой абсолютно разные архитектурные элементы. Мансарда — это целый этаж под
скатной крышей, изначально созданный для максимально эффективного использования
пространства. Мезонин — это отдельная надстройка над центральной частью здания.
Оба эти элемента не только расширяют жилое пространство, но и придают зданиям
особый «характер» и вид, сочетая в себе практичность и эстетическую
привлекательность.
