NVIDIA решила повременить с началом продаж нового чипа, предназначенного для ИИ-вычислений и специально разработанного с учётом недавно введённых США новых экспортных ограничений в отношении Китая. По данным отраслевых источников, премьера состоится лишь в первом квартале следующего года.
Выпуск на рынок нового чипа H20 затягивается в связи с проблемами, возникшими у производителей серверов, пытавшихся интегрировать его в свои продукты. В самой NVIDIA ситуацию пока не комментируют.
Новые ограничения на поставки в Китай высокопроизводительных ИИ-ускорителей даже с урезанной функциональностью вроде моделей A800 и H800 введены США ещё в минувшем октябре — эти полупроводники специально разрабатывали для Китая вместо более производительных A100 и H100, доступных союзникам Соединённых Штатов.
По данным CNBC, NVIDIA также готовится выпустить и ещё две модели «оптимизированных» ускорителей, соответствующих новым американским нормам — L20 и L2.
Задержка с премьерой H20 негативно повлияет на финансовые показатели NVIDIA — 20 % всей выручки компании поступает именно из Китая, где компании уже пытаются составить конкуренцию местные бизнесы вроде Huawei.
Хотя NVIDIA и заявила на прошлой неделе, что утроила выручку в III квартале текущего года, в компании подчеркнули, что продажи пострадали от региональных экспортных ограничений и в текущем квартале подобных показателей продаж ждать не приходится.
